Collect your family recipes and turn them into a beautiful, shareable, searchable cookbook with Notion.

Just looking for the template? Grab it here.

In the last 24 months I've used Notion for a lot of things: Process Docs, Daily Sprints, Client Proposals, Book Outlines, but perhaps the most fun way I've used it recently was to create a cookbook of family recipes for a loved one who was missing her Mom.

Benefits of Using Notion to Create a Cookbook

  • Easy-to-organize Gallery View for browsing recipes

  • Document your family recipes for all of time

  • Search for recipes or ingredients once you're done

  • Update it in just a few clicks with no additional downloads

  • Share it by simply sending a link

How hard is it to make?

This template is super easy to use. I've made it quick to get started and provide an additional step-by-step guide using a tool called Tango for those who want to build it from scratch.

How about styling?

You can make your cookbook minimalistic or give it some personality– there’s even a free Canva template to create a custom cover for your cookbook, and you can change the icons to suit your taste.

Questions or feedback?

You can always send me a note via email or send me a DM on twitter.

Firstly, it’s PWYW. That includes free. 50% of donations from this template will go to Farah, the sister of whom this template was originally for who helped me make this. She lives all the way in Iraq and it's her Mom's recipes we're using in this demo content. Feel free to try 'em––they're authentic and delicious.

I hope this helps you collect and share meaningful recipes and makes it easy to share them. 💛

Ps: I’ll also be using this to share my own recipes from instagram.
